Nature and Functions of promoter

A promoter is the person or institution who discovers the business opportunity, assembles the requisite resources, gets the enterprise registered and sets it as a going concern. The promoter undertakes to from a business enterprise with reference to a given object and sets it going after taking the necessary steps. To quote A.S. Dewing , "A promoter is the person conscious of the possibility of transforming an idea into a business capable of yielding a profit, who bring together the various person concerned and who finally superintends the various step necessary to bring the new business into existance." Thus, promoter is the enterpreneur who performs the task of promotion.
